My Privacy Policy
I, Suzi Beney (‘I’, ‘me’, ‘my’), as an independent Marketing Consultant, am committed to protecting your personal data, which identifies and relates to you or other individuals and complying with data protection laws.
This privacy policy sets out my personal data collection and sharing practices in relation to the personal data that I collect and use for the purpose of my business activities.
Who does this privacy policy apply to?
My clients, suppliers, advisers, service providers, enquirers (“you” or “your”).
What information do I collect about you
In order to deliver my marketing consultancy services to you, I may collect and handle the following information:
- information you provide to me directly
- contact details such as your name, address, email, telephone number, company website
- business information regarding your business' past marketing activity, such as (but not limited to) your own website analytics, social media accounts, etc.
- if you contact me, I might keep a record of that correspondence, voicemail or details of any conversation I may have with you.
- details of transactions you carry out
- information that is available from publicly available sources including social media websites and from other third parties
How and why I use your information
I may use your personal data for:
Enquiries
- Responding and answer your enquiry
- To notify you about changes to my services or otherwise fulfil your requests and respond to your queries
- For marketing purposes, only where you have provided consent for me to do so.
Prospective Clients & Clients
- Contacting you to discuss my services
- Providing a quotation/proposal
- Setting you up as a client
- Invoicing
- General client care, including communicating with you regarding your projects.
- Complying with legal or regulatory obligations
- To recover any payments due to me and, where necessary, to enforce such recovery through the engagement of debt collection agencies or taking other legal action
- To analyse the service I provide and improve my business
- To manage my infrastructure, business operations and comply with internal policies and procedures
- To monitor transactions and ensure service quality
- To notify you about changes to my services or otherwise fulfil your requests and respond to your queries
- For marketing purposes, only where you have provided consent for me to do so.
I will never process your personal data where these interests are overridden by your interests.
I may process your personal data because:
- it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you
- it is in my or a third parties’ legitimate interests
- to meet my legitimate interests, for example to improve my services, to ensure I price my products appropriately, to manage my business efficiently, and to maintain accurate records. When I process personal information to meet my legitimate interests, I always balance these against your fundamental rights and freedoms and put in place robust safeguards to ensure that your privacy is protected
- I have your consent. If I require your consent, it will be made clear at the time your information is collected

How I collect your information?
I will only collect information about you directly from you or via a third party with your consent.
Who do I share your information with and why?
I may share your information with my chosen third parties’ suppliers who help deliver services on my behalf, such as payment providers, data storage providers, event organisers.
I may transfer your information to a country outside of the European Economic Area in order to deliver my services. I will ensure this transfer and processing is carried out with the appropriate safeguards and in compliance with data protection laws, such as being protected by the necessary contractual terms.
If I share your personal data, it is only for the purposes set out in this privacy policy and I remain responsible for the management and security of personal information. Where I disclose your personal data to a third party, I require that third party to have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal data.
I will share your information, if I am required to by law.
How long do I keep your information
I will retain your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was originally collected and allowed by data protection laws. The length of time I keep your personal information is determined in accordance with the following criteria:
- your relationship with me and the types of products and service you have with me
- the length of time it is reasonable to keep records to demonstrate that I have fulfilled my obligations to you by law
Where your personal data is no longer required I will ensure it is securely deleted.
How do I keep your information secure
I am committed to keeping your information secure. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet or any website can be guaranteed to be secure. I have put in place physical, electronic and operational procedures intended to safeguard and secure the information I collect.
Your rights relating to your information
Data protection laws give you rights in relation to the personal information I hold about you, which may include the right to require me to:
- provide you with further details on how I make use of your personal information
- provide you with a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- update any inaccuracies in the personal information I hold about you
- delete any of your personal information that I no longer have a lawful ground to use
- where processing is based on consent, stop that particular processing by withdrawing your consent
- remove you from any direct marketing
- transfer your personal information to a third party in a standardised machine-readable format
These rights are not absolute and I will let you know in my correspondence with you whether I think they apply to you.
Consent
Your consent to my processing of your personal information for certain purposes may be necessary to comply with applicable data protection laws; and where this is the case I will ask you for your consent in accordance with those laws.
You may withdraw your consent to such processing at any time.
Cookie Policy
I only use cookies for session management, and I neither collect or keep users personal data. In order to monitor the use of my website, I do use Analytics, which collects information on visitor behaviour and website trends, without identifying individual visitors.
